About my deferred pension

How do I know how much pension I have accrued?

Every year you receive a personal pension summary. This details the pension entitlements you have accrued. As a former participant, you receive this summary in July of each year.

How is my pension adjusted to take account of price rises?

You can read how your pension is adjusted (index-linked) in the main principles of the Indexation policy. This can be found via the following link:

Main principles Indexation policy

Can I make extra pension contributions?

No. You cannot deposit funds in the Pension Fund yourself to provide for a higher pension.

Can I have my pension commence at an earlier date?

Yes you can. If you have a deferred pension under Regulations V or VI you can make a once-only choice to have your deferred pension commence at a date earlier than the retirement date that applies to you under the Pension Regulations. This may be from the age of 55 at the earliest and after you have left Company service for at least 6 months.

You can find more information about commencing a deferred pension early here:

Can I also have part of my pension commence early?

Yes you can. If you have a deferred pension under Regulations V or VI you can also choose to have part of your deferred pension commence at a date earlier than the retirement date that applies to you under the Pension Regulations. This may be from the age of 55 at the earliest and after you have left Company service for at least 6 months.
